How It Works

Most all the major pharmaceutical companies have programs for providing prescription drugs for patients without insurance and cannot afford their medication. Each program has different eligibility requirements and applications.

Medication Advocate offers help in applying for these medications. We provide up to date applications for all the programs offered as well as the eligibility requirements and the list of medications available, all in one location. With Medication Advocate, you can store your information as well as your physician’s information that is required for the application process. This will prevent you from having to complete each application by hand (each drug has a separate application).

Medication Advocate has two options highlighted below. Most drug companies will ship the medication in a 3 month supply.

Pay per Application or Subscription

Pay per Application option - $29 per drug application. Recommended for patients on 1-2 medications. (Typical 90 day supply per application)

Subscription option - $75 per year for unlimited drug applications. Recommended for patients on more than 2 medications.

*** After you complete the eligibility form, you can choose to sign up for the Pay per Application option or the Annual Subscription option.

Online Orders

  1. Create your account. This includes adding your physician information and eligibility data.
  2. Add your medication(s) for the available programs.
  3. Check out with MasterCard, Visa or eCheck.
  4. Print the application(s). (which are automatically filled out from the information you entered when you created the account)
  5. Review the application(s) for completeness and accuracy.
  6. Sign the application where indicated.
  7. Have your physician sign the application and attach a copy of the prescription.
  8. Attach any other information that may be required as stated on the applications.
  9. Mail to the Pharmaceutical Company at the address listed on the application.
  10. The Pharmaceutical Company will review and process your application, then send the medication to your physician's office or sometimes directly to you.

Phone Orders ($29 per application)

  1. We pre-qualify you for programs based on each pharmaceutical companies' eligibility requirements.
  2. We create an account for you including your information as well as your physician’s information.
  3. Medication Advocate then adds your medication(s) and we will select the correct program for each drug.
  4. We will process your order with MasterCard, Visa or eCheck.
  5. We print out the applications and also check for completeness. We will highlight where you and your physician need to sign on the application(s).
  6. We provide you with pre-addressed envelopes for mailing each application.
  7. We mail the complete packet to you.
  8. Sign the application where indicated.
  9. Have your physician sign the application and attach a copy of the prescription.
  10. Attach any other information that may be required as stated on the applications.
  11. Mail to the Pharmaceutical Company in the pre-addressed envelope that is included in your packet.
  12. The Pharmaceutical Company will review and process your application, then send the medication to your physicians office or sometimes directly to you, usually within 2-4 weeks.
